Start Your Cybersecurity Learning Today and Plan a Future Career
This blog was
started as part of the assignments for my current class, Futuring and Innovation
CS875, as part of my Doctor of Computers Science at Colorado Technical
University.
The name of my blog is Future Cyber Intelligence and Innovation, and the URL can be found at https://futurecyberintelligence.blogspot.com. The title of this class blog site is related to the future through educational research and economical innovation with topics to consider today and what changes in the near future may impact the industry of cybersecurity. In addition, each blog post would include links to some of the cybersecurity companies I subscribe and would recommend you know and learn about each company.
Each post includes a cybersecurity business one of many enterprises or open-source organization that align with work in cybersecurity and as each blog posting continues there are more business services to consider learning how their products support people and companies to remain more secure.
The title of the first blog post might have been, A funny thing happened on the way to my cyber career. I
The focus of each blog post is to provide guidance for
future cybersecurity careers. I plan to write and encourage readers to consider a cybersecurity career by including categories like:
·
Cybersecurity as a Career, not a job
·
Future Cybersecurity Jobs
·
Investment today for cyber jobs tomorrow
·
Free and low-cost cybersecurity training
·
Innovation in Cyber Technologies
·
Cybersecurity consulting
Goals set for https://futurecyberintelligence.blogspot.com
are to tell a story by having a fictitious company, Black Mountain Cyber
Security as the setting for each story arc.
The overall narrative would then use the different backgrounds to gain
the first cybersecurity job. Each reader may have a different
background like, new college graduate, blue collar worker, seasoned IT staff
new to cybersecurity.
The stories and plots allow readers to visualize steps needed to move toward their own career path of cybersecurity, and how cybersecurity is more than a single job. Stories include explaining security roles in business today, what are steps to take to start work in cybersecurity.
Each blog
posting endeavors to provide interesting direction if you do or do not have an IT our
computer background. Future positions are discussed based on technology reviews of enterprises investment in
specific technologies describing why investments are being made, and details of how the technology might expand
cybersecurity career growth.
